Designed with modern women in mind, Yala was founded by Kenyan-born Audrey Migot-Adholla to create ethical jewelry made to last. The brand is named after the town her grandma lived. Now based in Bristol, UK, Audrey splits her time between the two countries working directly with over 150 artisans in Kenya, ensuring they receive fair wages, work in safe and healthy environments, and real recognition for their talent all while using eco-friendly materials. Each collection is exclusively made in small batches to create as little environmental impact as possible.

Audrey is passionate about ensuring true transparency across the production process and has a genuine connection between the people who created Yala jewelry and customers. She has always been passionate about accessories and now, she gets to work on her dream while challenging the common misconceptions about Africa and its people through beautiful design, entrepreneurship, and creative talent.
