What do pre-order and back-order mean?

As a small business that is also keen on sustainability, most of our products are created in small batches by our brand partners and only available in limited quantity. This means sometimes, items will have to be pre-ordered to avoid waste or back-ordered if an item is out of stock and will be available to dispatch soon.

Pre-order is an option when an item is not readily available because it has to be manufactured specifically for you when you place an order.

Back-order is an option when an item which is temporarily unavailable (i.e out-of stock). This item will be dispatched once it becomes available for shipping.

We will always communicate and keep you updated.

How do I cancel/amend an order?

Please contact us immediately at info@hamalie.com should you need to cancel or amend an order. Pre-ordered items can only be cancelled before they are shipped from Africa. In an event where your order hasn’t been shipped, a full refund will be issued for cancelled items. Please note that items already shipped or dispatched cannot be amended or cancelled.
