Hamimi is a boutique brother and sister design brand, with Alex based in Brisbane and Rebecca on the ground in Marrakech, where our team of local artisans bring our designs to life. Together we create original artisan jewellery, bags, crochet lamps and more.

We offer a fresh take on Moroccan design, capturing the country’s exotic culture and honouring traditional craftsmanship. Our designs embrace the old and the new, combining traditional materials and techniques with a contemporary sensibility.

Daily life in Marrakech provides an endless source of creative inspiration – it’s a place where you can have one foot in the very distant past and the other seemingly in the future. Our designs embrace the old and the new, combining traditional materials and techniques with a contemporary sensibility. We appreciate texture and are not afraid of using colour. We like to mix old and new, traditional and modern, to produce items of contemporary yet timeless appeal.

In this age of mass production, we instead focus on handcrafting our products in the traditional artisan way. Each product is invested with a human touch – made by hand with heart.

Our crochet lamps, jewellery and handbags are handmade by a small community of women in a village just outside Marrakech. By partnering with these women we aim to help keep their traditional skills alive and create a brighter future for them and their families.
